Connecticut History Illustrated (CHI) --- part of the Connecticut Digital Archive --- brings together the Connecticut history-related digital resources of libraries, archives, museums, galleries, historical societies and other cultural heritage institutions in Connecticut. It contains material as varied as the history of the state, from documents to images, from maps to audio and video covering the entire spectrum of work, play, and life in Connecticut. CHI was built on the success of Connecticut History Online (CHO), the pioneering collaborative digital collection of Connecticut history resources. All content from CHO is included in Connecticut History Illustrated.

Middletown Upper Houses by Charles Collard Adams (1908)

Jane Devlin's "Dunham-Wilcox-Trrott-Kirk" web site includes a partial transcription (by Coralyn Brown, Liz Matthews, and Dona Ritchie) of Middletown Upper Houses, a history of the North Society of Middletown, Connecticut from 1650 to 1800, with genealogical and biographical chapters on early families, and a full genealogy of the Ranney family. The transcription includes the chapters on individual families, but not the first 97 pages of local history. At present the Ranney family genealogy is complete for the first four generations only.
